Hangin'Out Christmas Eve

Approaching Christmas, Kaylee was recovering from a cold and Davin's cold was full swing so we opted to stay at home and relax versus leave and get everyone sick.  We had a nice evening after we got home from work.  I made dinner and afterwords we had chocolate pudding pie, which Kaylee seemed to think was Delicious  and messy.  It was her first time eating chocolate pudding.  Then she went to bed and we got busy with her gifts.  Davin got busy building her wagon and I started to put together her slide.  If was the first time we had to stay up to put toys together, it was quite fun.

Surprisingly, (and probably the last time) Kaylee actually let us sleep an extra hour later then usual so when she woke we got up and took her downstairs where she saw the wagon and slide instantly and wanted to touch each piece, and play. Christmas morning is so much more fun with kids  around (yours or someone elses, that part doesn't matter.)  The extreme joy is just too much fun to watch.  We watched Christmas Story and the Grinch, relaxed, ate a nice ham dinner and overall had a nice, quiet Christmas.  It was the first time that we actually stayed home, it made us home sick for our family but it was nice to not have to shuffle from one house to another.
